HORNET AW (Aerial Work)
The AW has been specifically designed to fulfill the needs of Electronic News Gathering (ENG) organisations. It will supplant twin engined helicopters at about one half of the acquisition and operating costs.
Operating and flight crews will enjoy the roomy comfort of the gondola, in which there is much opportunity for customising the interior design. Almost any permutation of interior design will be considered by AHA.
The HORNET AW combines V/STOL operation with the capability to "hover" at very low forward speeds. This is accomplished by utilising its vectoring winglets, which may be raised to an angle of +45o for slow flight.
Daylight banners may be affixed to the sides of the envelope for the purposes of promotions and advertising. Electronic (fibre-optic) sign sytems may also be incorporated, but these will offset other operational payloads.
